Privacy Policy

How Carvia collects, uses, and protects personal information: inquiry contact details, how inquiries are routed to certified exporters, retention, and your data rights.

What we collect

Information you provide to the platform

Carvia collects the information you submit when you make an inquiry or request a quote, plus limited technical data needed to operate the platform.

Inquiry contact details: name, contact channel (WhatsApp, WeChat, or email), destination country, and the message you submit.
Transaction context: the vehicle or listing your inquiry relates to, target quantity, and preferred follow-up method.
Basic technical data: language preference and the standard request logs needed to run and secure the service.
We do not ask for payment card details — payments are handled directly between you and the certified exporter.

How we use it

Routing inquiries to certified exporters

The primary use of your personal information is routing your inquiry to the relevant certified exporter so they can respond with availability, pricing, and export details. We also use it to operate, secure, and improve the platform.

Your contact details and message are shared with the certified exporter responsible for the vehicle you inquired about — and only with that exporter.
The platform team may use your inquiry to follow up on your request, confirm requirements, or resolve a routing issue.
Aggregated, non-identifying usage data may be used to improve listings, search, and platform features.

What we never do

No sale of personal data

Carvia does not sell personal data. We do not share your contact details with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Sharing is limited to what is needed to fulfill your inquiry and operate the platform.

No sale or rental of personal information to any third party.
No sharing with exporters other than the one handling your inquiry.
Service providers (such as hosting) may process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the platform and its users from fraud or abuse.

Retention and security

How long we keep data and how it is protected

Inquiry records are retained for as long as needed to support your transaction, maintain a traceable record of platform-routed communication, and meet legal obligations — then deleted or anonymized.

Access to inquiry data is restricted to platform staff and the relevant certified exporter.
Supplier private data (floor prices, contact details) is walled off from buyers; buyer contact data is equally walled off from non-relevant parties.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards protect stored data, though no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Access, correction, and deletion requests

You can ask what personal information the platform holds about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion where no legal retention duty applies. Contact the platform team through the contact page and we will respond to verified requests.

Request a copy of the personal data associated with your inquiries.
Request correction of inaccurate contact details.
Request deletion of your inquiry data, subject to records we must keep for legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
Submit requests via the platform contact channels listed on the Contact page.
